So, basically in order for a person to get an admission into the university, i.e qualifying to be a bonafied student at a university, he/she needs to undergo various exams. The first exam would be the weac, we call it waec over here, it is an exam written mostly after a person is done with high school, after that proces is done we futhermore, participate into another exam, which is known as JAMB (Joint Admission Matriculation Board) , withouht per taking in this exam, various universities, will not give us admission, it is like a requirment we need too meet before any university can accept us.
However, once a person is done with this two exams, he or she still needs to write an exam given by the university itself . So basically there are three exams, which a person must meet to, which are (WAEC, JAMB, and the POST-UME, which is the exam given by the university) . For a person to qualify into the uniersuty there are certain marks the person has to meet in all of these three exams.
I was able to meet this marks, in fact i passed the required mark, which i very thank God for, i finished high school about last year november, i wasn’t able to write the jamb that year, due to finacial strugles, the waec exam was a huge finacial weight and struggle on its own, but i thank God i was able to pull through, i then wrote the jamb exam this year, which i passed with flying colours, but it doesn’t stop there, i still have too participate in the post-ume. My post-ume cmes up in about a week from now, i haven’t still met up with the fees to pertake in the exam, and if i do not pay for the exam i will not be allowed to sit for the exam, failure in participating in the exam means i have too retake the exam next year, meaning my JAMB exam that i wrote and did well in would be all in vain and all for nothing, because the JAMB result is only valid for that year which i wrote the exam, and it would be used too validate my post-ume
Haven’t been said all this, perhaps if anyone, just anynone out there, finds it in their heart to help me, i still have to prepare for it. My phone got spoilt two years ago, we didn’t have electricity supply for about a month, so we usually used our phones for flashlight, we usually charged our phones at our neighbours’ house, considering the fact that they had a standby generator. I was using my phone to do the dishes, as i reached to grab the phone from where i hung it, as too get more light, so as too see what i am washing, next thing you know, the phone fell inside the water, i quickly gushed it out of the water. At about two seconds after, the phone turned off and up till now (Two years after), the phone hasn’t still turned on after several tries, i keep thinking it could be because the device was purchased “Used” and for the fact that it was also a low – end device (1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage) bought it or 15,000naira considering the finacial stiuation, having high – end phones where just dreams and imaginary thoughts in my head.
As for my upcoming exams, the struggle and hardship it took to excel greatly in my previous exams where some what very suffering, i had to go to peoples houses, lending text books, notes, going back and forth, it was always like five hours of walking a day, i repeated this process consectivuely for about a month. Taken that i did own a phone, i would be able to acheive all these in minutes or even seconds. I would also need a phone to receive updates concerning the exam i.e date at which it would take place, time, the place. I would also need it for when i get into the university, because there would be assignments, notes, anonucements, and other various things. I can’t get all this informations from another personall, because i won’t know anyone there, it would just be me on my own. What did i use to send this plea? I went to a cafe just around the block, pleading and begging the personell to let me use the computer, eventually i was allowed after teling the attendant what i am going through.
To round it all up, i need fees for my upcoming exam, and also a new phone, i am hoping and very very much hoping that someone would be kind enough to please help my situation, it would really help me in life, and as for my efforts not too be in vain, because all the studying the reading, the going up and down, the going to people houses the trekking, would all be in vain if i do not participate in this post ume and if i don’t get a phone, the cost of both (Exam & Phone) costs#87,500for both.
